What is the minimum system requirements?
Java 1.6 or later (Java 1.6.0_20 recommended)
IE 7 or later (IE 8 recommended)
Windows XP/Vista/7 Compatible
Why is there more than one process (Exp+.exe) loaded?
Being a multi-process program, such as IE8 and Google Chrome, Risingware Exp+ loads more than one process at the same time.
How to make sure if program upgrade is successful??
Check the version at 'About Risingware Exp+' from mainmenu 'Help', and compare to version stated on 'Download' page on Risingware website.
What to do if version upgrade was unsuccessful?
Step 1 Exit all running parts of Risingware Exp+, which is a multi-process program with more than one Exp+.exe running in the background. We recommend you close all the Exp+.exe through Windows Task Manager.

Step 2 Delete folder Exp+ in C:\Program Files\Risingware. Please notice that this won't delete all your personal data in Risingware Exp+. if you are a Vista user, they are saved under C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Risingware\Exp+\data; if you are a XP user, they are saved under C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Risingware\Exp+\data.

Step 33 Click on shortcut 'Risingware Exp+' on desktop, it will repair your Risingware Exp+ program.

By doing these steps, your Risingware Exp+ should be successfully upgraded. If not, uninstall Risingware Exp+, then install it again by clicking on installer Exp+.msi, whose name may vary according to where you get your Risingware Exp+ installer.

Why can't I initialize Risingware Exp+ after installation?
One possible reason is that the version of java installed in your computer is older than 1.6, which caused the failure in initializing Risingware Exp+. Once it is updated to 1.6.x, this problem should be solved.

Why can't I initialize Risingware Exp+ after installing Java 1.6.x?
If you had followed instructions to previous question, but still could not initialize Risingware Exp+ after installing Java 1.6.x without removing old Java version. You have to verify the version of your Risingware Exp+. If it is older than 2.4.0, follow steps below:

Step 1 Start a Registry Editor. You may click Run in Start menu, and type regedit in Run dialog.
Step 2 Go to directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Risingware\Exp+.
Step 3 Modify the values of JREPATH" and "JVMPATH. If the latest verion of Java was installed in C:\Program Files\Java\jre6, alter JREPATH with C:\Program Files\Java\jre6 and JVMPATH with C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\client.

How to exit Risingware Exp+?
After being initialized, Risingware Exp+ stays in the system tray. By clicking on the Close button of its program window, you haven't really exited it. Some of its functions for Windows applications are still available, such as Windows Shutdown Tool, Boss Key, etc. To actually exit it, you can right-click on its tray icon and select Exit, or use hotkey Ctrl+Alt+X.
How to uninstall Risingware Exp+?
Step 1 Exit all running parts of Risingware Exp+, which is a multi-process program with more than one Exp+.exe running in the background. We recommend you close all the Exp+.exe through Windows Task Manager.

Step 2 Perform uninstallation via Start menu. Go to 'Exp+', and click on 'Uninstall Risingware Exp+', or via 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control panels.

What to do when clicking on Risingware Exp+ button on taskbar had no reaction?
It occurs occasionally. Simply right-click on the Risingware Exp+ button on the taskbar and maximize it.
How to prevent web pages e-mailing from being blocked by any defense programs?
With Web Page e-Mailer, when you could not email an web page, It was very likely that you were having a problem caused by firewalls that blocked the mail from sending.

To solve this problem, you have to add Risingware Exp+ into exceptions of all firewalls in your computer, including Windows Firewall and any other antivirus software installed. Take Windows Firewall for example. First, go to Control Panel. Next, open the Windows Firewall Setting dialog box. Finally, add a new exception with path " C:\Program Files\Risingware\Exp+\Exp+.exe.

Why can't I use web accelerators?
When you selected words on a web page without special designs, a magnifier icon was supposed to appear. However, it didn't. It's obvious that functionalities of accelerators must have been disabled. Go to Exp+ Setup Center, and enable Enable Script option in Brower panel, then this problem should be solved.
Why can't I see pop-ups?
When you opened a webpage with pop-ups, you found pop-ups missing when they were supposed to appear in accordance with your "Show pop-up" setting in Browser panel of Exp+ Setup Center.

One possible reason was that you had added the website to exceptional website list and had chose to block its pop-ups. You may, then, change its setting to 'Show pop-ups.' Another possible reason was that you had disabled Enable Script option in Browser panel of Exp+ Setup Center. Therefore, once it is enabled again, this problem should be solved.

Why isn't Pop-up Inquiry Bar showing?
When opening a webpage with pop-ups, you found the Pop-up Inquiry Bar missing when it was supposed to show in accordance with the "Inquire pop-up" setting in Browser panel of Exp+ Setup Center.

One possible reason was that you had added this website to the exceptional website list with a different setting; thus, once it is changed to "Inquire pop-up", this problem should be solved. Another possible reason was that you had disabled Enable Script option in Browser tab of Exp+ Setup Center, so once it is enabled again, this problem should be solved.

How to prevent images inside Start Page from changing sizes?
Some images inside the Start Page change their sizes as the cursor moves in or out. If you are no fan of this fisheye design, you may go to Exp+ Setup Center and select checkbox "Disable fisheye special effect on images in Start Page" in "General" panel.
How to reinstall missing plug-ins?
After installing a newer version of Risingware Exp+, you were supposed to find new plug-ins in this version, but you couldn't. The possible reason was that you imported an previously exported plug-in xml file, so new plug-ins were replaced.

Go to Download Plug-ins, click on buttons to install them to Risingware Exp+ directly, and find them in Plug-in Bar.
