Risingware Exp+  2.8.0 Now Available (February 12, 2010)

 

 

 

Risingware Exp+ 2.8.0 is now available for both Free Edition user and Professional Edition user.  This release includes many new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Some of which are listed as follows;

New Features

  • Download Manager
    This tool is able to start (automatically or manually), stop, pause, or continue a download. Its resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages.
  • Screen Capture Tool
    This tool lets you grab images from your screen, such as pop-up menu, other application window, web pages, rectangular region, polygonal region, current page, all pages, and full screen, etc.
  • Add a "Groups" panel in Navigation Window, which you may fix to open any group item, a folder, a webpage, a file, or a program, at all times.

Improvements

  • Make resetting default web search engines more intuitive no matter those are a single one or multiple ones.
  • Improve the drop-down menu of the floating folder location bar:
    • Change an auto-clicking design into a scrollbar one so as to move the menu up and down more efficiently.
    • Open folders simultaneously.
  • Improve the drop-down menu of Recent Folders/Recent Web Pages buttons at each tabbar:
    • Add visited folders/visited web pages under original recent folders/recent web pages. These visited records are categorized by main directories/websites and can be expanded or collapsed.
    • Change an auto-clicking design into a scrollbar one so as to move the menu up and down more efficiently.
    • Open folders/web pages simultaneously.

Useful Tip

  • Set a multiple search list in an instant
    Press the leftmost button at Web Search Bar, and tick multiple checkboxes representing search engines. Finally, press Apply button so as to finish the setting.

    *Note: If current search bar is not web search bar but file search bar, right-click on the leftmost button to switch.
