Some major new features, improvements, bug fixes and other supplement in 2.4.0 are as follows;

[New Features]

• A plug-in interface is added.
• Adding a plug-in -- HTML Component Downloader
  When current tab is a web page, you can activate this tool to download images files, ActiveX objects and Scripts.
• A Plug-in Bar and a plug-in management function are added.
• Adding a Temporary Internet File Downloader
  You can use this tool to download temporary internet files, such as html files, images, media.
• You can now drag files and drop them on Fast Start Bar. Each of them will become a fast start and appear on the Fast Start Bar immediately.
• Adding a Java version detecting mechanism
  IF the first initialization of Risingware Exp+ fails, system will detect whether your Java version is older than 1.6. If so, a error dialog including a link to Java official website will appear.

[Improvements]

• Improve the way to keep web browsing records in drop-down menu of Recent Web Pages button on each tab bar. From website-oriented to webpage-oriented.
• All configurable toolbars are displayed in right-click menus of all toolbars, including Configure Folder Function Key Bar, Configure Web Page Function Key Bar, Configure Fast Start Bar, Configure Plug-in Bar, instead of only displaying "Configure" in right-click menus of configurable ones.
• Improve the opening methods of Open Items Selectively, an option in drop-down menu of a group, from simply a Confirm button to Open in Left Panel button and Open in Right Panel button.
• Improve the width of navigation panel to be able to be adjusted while floating.

[Bug Fixes]

• If your Java version was older than 1.6 when you installed Risingware Exp+ at the first time, Risingware Exp+ could not be successfully initiated. Later on, after Java 1.6.X was installed, Risingware Exp+, registering with older Java version, still could not be initiated. This problem is fixed.
• A problem of a few .Zip files, which occasionally could not be extracted, is fixed.
• Occasionally, opening an Exp+ Start page would fail because a few web pages in Recent Web Pages had no response. This problem is fixed.
• Adding folders or files to a group would overwrite ones with same names without asking for confirmation. This problem is fixed.
• In Exp+ Setup Center, the default value of Always Create New Tab At field is about:blank. If its value had not been changed, it worked not in the way it should be. This problem is fixed.
• In Exp+ Setup Center, when a none-existing folder path was typed in Always Create New Tab At field, press Confirm button would cause the value of the field to be changed to about:blank. This problem is fixed by showing an error message.
• A problem of an incorrect Help link in Managing Accelerators window is fixed.
• Some fast start buttons on Fast Start Bar did not display their names because they did not set a hotkey. This problem is fixed.
• While some fast start buttons in Fast Start Bar were contracted in drop-down menu, pressing one of the buttons did not get any response. This problem is fixed.
• Several Zip and 7z files could not be activated in Recent Tabs of navigation panel. This problem is fixed.
• A problem of floating buttons which were not supposed to appear on compressed files in Trash Can is fixed.
• An error message caused by editing a group name the same as an existing one did not include the group name information. This problem is fixed.

[Other Supplement]

• Function of starting more than one Risingware Exp+ is removed to prevent a problem of incoherent system settings.
