Risingware Exp+ 2.7.0 Release Notes

Last revised: January 7, 2010.

Some major new features, improvements, bug fixes, and other supplements in 2.7.0 are as follows;

[New Features]

  • You can now configure any website, set to be exceptional, to run a Java Script file or a plug-in whenever it is visited.
  • To extend plug-ins' flexibility in usage, We include them in real-time Accelerator List and can disable them in Manage Accelerators window.
  • You can now disable search engines which are automatically loaded in real-time Accelerator List in Manage Accelerators window.
  • All categories in Real-time Accelerator List can now be collapsed or expanded at one click.

[Improvements]

  • To optimize memory usage and performance of Risingware Exp+, some functions are separated from main program such as copying(F6), moving(F7), compressing, extracting, backing up, restoring, splitting, combining files, and file search, etc.
  • Memory usage of Exp+ Start Page is optimized. Whenever a start page is the only thread in a process, it will be closed and started in a new one so as to release some memories.
  • Clicking on "New" button to the right of Group Content column in Manage Favorite Groups window will now display a context menu with 4 options -- Add Current Tab to This Group, Add a Web Page, Add a Folder, and Add a File/Program.
  • Improve real-time applications of the accelerator, including an updated icon, and  distinct check marks in front of categories with an eye to distinguish all selection and partial selection of accelerators under them.

[Bug Fixes]

  • While dual-panel mode was on and destination folder was not in "details" viewing mode, files couldn't be moved from source folder to this one. This problem is fixed.
  • Files in a Backup Tab* couldn't be copied, moved, or dragged and dropped to a folder tab. This problem is fixed.
  • n Directory Synchronizer and Batch File Renamer, if "Include Subfolder" option had been selected, occasionally, files were dislocated under subfolders. This problem is fixed.
  • In Directory Synchronizer and Batch File Renamer, while the operating system was XP, any underline(_) in file names wasn't displayed. This problem is fixed.
  • While current tab in opposite panel was a web page, dragging and dropping a link to opposite panel didn't open a new tab displaying its content in the foreground but in background. This problem is fixed.
  • While background task window was displaying at bottom right corner, switching current program from Risingware Exp+ to another would have this window on top of another program. This problem is fixed.
  • In Recent Folders panel of Start Page, when clicking on a folder link, upper toolbars looked like it was flashing due to excessive switches between web and folder toolbars. This problem is fixed.
  • In Web Cache Downloader window, pressing a "Switch to HTML Component Downloader" button would display a blank tip because this tool had been disabled. This problem is fixed.

[Other Supplement]

  • Under consideration of system stabilization, we remove the function of compressing files into a .7z file. But, even so you can still extract compressed files in 7z format.
  • The name of executable file of Risingware Exp+ has been changed from RPMLoader.exe to Exp+.exe.

*A Backup Tab is a tab displaying the content of a backup point chosen from a backup project listed in "Preview Backup File" panel in navigation panel.
